No one can argue that Navy wasn't better than most ACC teams in 2015...
But they had an extraordinary X-factor athletic QB. It's no different than the year BGSU with Meyer as coach and Miami OH with Rothlsberger as QB were better than the majority of ACC schools that year. There was a year when Hawaii was better than most ACC teams. A few years back, UCF would have been the 3rd best team in the ACC.
I guess my point is.... Navy is a decent football program, but normally would never be better than middle of the pack in the ACC. Adding UConn (who has tremendous success in MBB, WBB and olympic sports would be a much better addition than Navy. The only reason Navy should even be remotely considered is if they bring ND with them. And ND is not going full-member any time soon which means Navy shouldn't be considered. On the flip side, UConn is ready, willing and able and can contribute to the success of the ACC immediately.
